UFC Fight Night: Santos vs. Teixeira

Hello everyone, and welcome to another edition of BinK iT. Went 6-4 last week. This brings our record to 50-2-16 on UFC predictions since September. It's been a wild ride the last couple months full of profit and on point predictions. As a gambler, I always hope for the best and when fight night comes I'm sweating like I just ran a marathon. Once the card starts, the beer gets cracked and the show begins. For this week, I will be breaking down all 11 fights for UFC Santos vs Teixeira this Saturday.

Thiago Santos vs. Glover Teixeira

After a very long lay off, I'm not sure what to expect from Santos after he blew out both his knees in his last fight. Glover has been looking good lately even at this age! This is close, and I'm not totally sure why the betting line has glover as a big underdog in this spot. Prediction: Glover Teixeira by finish

Andrei Arlovski vs. Tanner Boser

I see this fight is going to take place on the feet at all times. Boser went from a decision machine to a finisher in his last couple fights. He has impressed me while Arlovski has been trending in the other direction. Prediction: Tanner Boser by KO or decision

Raoni Barcelos vs. Kahlid Taha

Both these fighters are legit on the feet. But, Barcelos is the more complete fighter. He needs to get this to the ground and use his BJJ black belt as Taha’s takedown defense is almost non-existent from what I’ve seen in the UFC so far. Prediction: Raoni Barcelos by finish

Ian Heinisch vs. Brendan Allen

This is the toughest fight to call on this entire card. Both these fighters are tough, gritty and want to make it ugly and tiring in the octagon. I see Brendan Allen having a hard time trying to impose his gameplan on Heinisch and I see this going the distance. Prediction: Ian Heinisch by decision

Claudia Gadelha vs. Xiaonan Yan

It's honestly been downhill for Claudia. Her gas tank seems to be failing her past the first round in her last 5 fights. Xiaonan is a higher output fighter and  just keeps coming at you and that is her path to victory in this fight but it will be close. Prediction: Xiaonan Yan by decision.

Giga Chikadze vs. Jamey Simmons

Not sure what Jamey Simmons is doing in the UFC. The size difference is too much! I see this only going one way. Prediction: Giga Chikadze by finish

Trevin Giles vs. Bevon Lewis

Both these guys are low output and seem to get tired once the third round starts. I just have not been impressed by either and really haven't seen any improvements. Prediction: Bevon Lewis by decision

Marcos Rogerio De Lima vs. Alexander Romanov

These guys are big! Romanov is fun to watch and looks to be in a different class than De Lima. Prediction: Alexander Romanov by finish

Darren Elkins vs. Eduardo Garagorri

Boy oh boy I love to watch the damage fight! He is always ready to fight and brings it every time. He needs to do what he does best. Drain his opponent's soul until they can't take it anymore. Prediction: Darren Elkins by decision or late finish

Max Griffin vs Ramiz Brahimaj

Max Griffin is the more experienced fighter but he can be taken down in fights and I see a path for Brahimaj to implement his gameplan and just control Griffin on the ground. Prediction: Ramiz Brahimaj by decision or submission

Gustavo Lopez vs. Anthony Birchak

This yet another close fight. Both these fighters have had good wins and bad loses on the regional scene. I'm not entirely sure who is going to come in with the better gameplan. But I will lean towards Birchak. Prediction: Anthony Birchak by decision or sub
